A literacy centred program where children explore elements of the theater, engage in drama activities, hone oral language skills, read and analyze scripts, and  participate in creative writing activities.

Each class children will:

-participate in literacy games

-partake in drama energizers

-develop oral language skills

-read and analyze scripts

-receive mini lessons aimed at developing oral language and dramatic skills

-end the day with creative writing as they carefully craft their own character

-receive feedback aimed at developing literacy skills

 

The programs' culminating task will be to create a mini film together (3-5min), the script for which will be developed based on the characters the children create throughout our time together.
