An early literacy/numeracy curriculum taught in the heart of our 100 year old fantastical forest. Children experience math in nature, engage in exciting literature and share in creative moments while making new friends. Children also have the opportunity to build special bonds with our junior ambassadors, a group of hand picked youth mentors. The perfect program for kiddos who are leaving the nest for the first time and joining a drop-off program.

Did you know: Ms. Rachel is an OCT certified teacher with over 18 years of teaching experience & Ms. Nemee started her teaching journey as a sensei; as a second degree black belt, she taught children's classes at her local dojo.

Our day at a glance:

During opening circle, children participate in calendar themed lessons, songs and games to deepen their understanding of the natural environment and of number relationships.

In this program, little hands use familiar items like sticks as thinking tools to illustrate mathematical thinking. Games, crafts, and literature are carefully curated and delivered to support the development of early literacy skills and encourage an inquiry stance (i.e., questioning, planning, predicting, observing, and communicating).

Character education is an important component of all of our programs at HHNIS. It is something we explicitly teach. Our programs are delivered in a way to ensure all children have voice and the opportunity to feel heard!

Our Kinder's Forest program is a soft spot to land for any kiddies leaving the nest and joining a drop-off program for the first time. Caregivers also have the option to stay on-site, just ask for details!
